In response to the impacts of COVID-19 on local commerce, the Commonwealth has invested in funding for quick-build "shared streets projects" this summer. This funding has allowed municipalities, sometimes partnered with their local nonprofits, to build temporary projects that incorporate outdoor dining, temporary bicycle lanes, expanded sidewalks, etc. These are temporary but how can they be part of the future?
